Product dimensions
At Gandhi Special Tubes Ltd, tubes and nuts are supplied in accordance with appropriate International Standards in a large variety of steel grades and dimensions. Client specific requirements on technical parameters are offered on request.
Technical guidance
Cold-drawn seamless (CDS) tubes are produced without a welded longitudinal seam, while welded tubes are formed from steel strip and joined along the seam using an electric-resistance welding process. CDS tubes are commonly selected where seamless construction, close dimensional control and a clean internal surface are important.
Bright annealed means the tube is heat-treated in a controlled-atmosphere furnace so it comes out clean, soft, scale-free & radiantly bright without the acid pickling used to strip scale from conventionally annealed tubes. For hydraulic and precision work this matters because a clean, residue-free bore protects downstream pumps and valves and is ready for forming.
Gandhi supplies seamless tubes to Indian and international standards including EN 10305-1, EN 10305-4, DIN 2391, SAE J524, IS 3074, JIS G 3445, EN 10216-2, IS 3601, DIN 73000, ISO 8535 and SAE J1958, depending on the application and grade ordered. The standard agreed at enquiry stage governs the dimensions, tolerances, mechanical properties and testing that apply to your tubes.
Gandhi's cold-drawn bright-annealed seamless tubes are commonly specified for hydraulic service because the bore is clean and scale-free, which protects pumps and valves from contamination. To quote a hydraulic tube we need the working pressure, fluid, outside diameter, wall thickness, tolerance class and governing standard.
Commonly offered grades include St 30 Al, St 37.4, St 35, St 45, St 52, E215, E235 and E355, chosen to suit the strength, formability and standard your application needs. Other grades may be available on request. Grade availability is product- and order-specific, so please confirm your requirement at enquiry stage.
Dimensional tolerances for outside diameter, wall thickness, and length are manufactured as per the applicable tube standard, such as EN 10305-1. Closer tolerances than the standard requirements can also be supplied by prior agreement, subject to feasibility. Share your drawing, tube specification, or tolerance requirements with us at the enquiry stage so we can confirm feasibility and manufacturing capability.
Depending on the ordered standard and customer specification, seamless tubes can undergo tensile, hardness, flattening, flaring, bending, eddy-current, hydrostatic-pressure, dimensional, surface-roughness and chemical-composition testing, supported by metallurgical examination. The exact test plan is fixed against your standard and drawing, so you receive tubes verified to the requirements that matter for your application.

Gandhi Special Tubes is an ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016 certified organisation, so seamless tubes are produced under an automotive-grade quality-management system with process control and checks from incoming raw material through to dispatch. Material and inspection documentation can be provided against your standard and purchase order, which supports use in OEM and Tier-1 supply chains.
We offer flexible manufacturing options & can supply tubes in plain oiled, phosphated or in externally electroplated condition. Different passivations such as trivalent/hexavalent chrome passivation are offered based on client preference.
