Technical guidance
A high-pressure fuel-injection tube - also called an injection pipe, injector pipe or injector tube - carries diesel from the injection pump to the injector at very high pressure. Gandhi manufactures these tubes for demanding fuel-injection systems, with the internal cleanliness and strength required for reliable performance.
Gandhi's high-pressure diesel fuel-injection tubes are made with reference to DIN 73000, ISO 8535 and SAE J1958, which cover dimensions, internal bore quality and material requirements for injection tubing. The applicable standard and bore grade are agreed with the customer at the drawing stage.
Bore grade describes the permitted level of surface imperfections in fuel injection tubes as per ISO 8535-1. Grade "S" is the standard bore grade & other bore grades can be considered on specific requirement.
Under high pressure, rough surface erodes faster & can cause problems to the injector, resulting in injector choking; hence internal surface cleanliness & finish is important.
Fuel-injection tubes are typically small-bore, thick-wall tubes made to the customer's engine and pump drawing rather than a fixed catalogue size. Share the outside diameter, bore/inside diameter, wall thickness, length and end-forming requirement, and we will confirm what can be supplied.
Yes. High-pressure fuel-injection tubes are made under Gandhi's ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016 certified quality system, which is appropriate for safety-critical diesel fuel systems. Inspection, internal-cleanliness and material documentation can be provided against your applicable standard and purchase order.
