Technical guidance
A coupling nut, or tube nut, is the threaded fitting that secures a tube end to a port, union or another component. Gandhi produces them by cold forming rather than machining, which gives a stronger, crack-resistant nut with a smooth bearing face for reliable sealing in hydraulic, automotive and fuel-injection tube-end connections.
Gandhi supplies coupling nuts with both rolled and machined (tapped) threads to suit the thread form specified on your drawing. Rolled threads offer better fatigue strength for demanding assemblies. Provide the thread designation, across-flats size and any standard, and we'll confirm feasibility within our cold-forming range.
Coupling nuts are typically supplied in low-carbon steel (AISI 1010). Nuts can be zinc plated & trivalent/chrome passivation can be applied based on requirements.

Yes - coupling nuts are made to customer drawings for across-flats size, thread, length, grade and plating, within our cold-forming range. Send the part drawing or a sample with your target quantity, and we'll confirm tooling and feasibility and advise the most practical way to produce the part.
In addition to 100% laser-based automatic sorting and visual checks, coupling nuts can be verified for dimensions, thread gauging, hardness and - where plated - salt-spray corrosion resistance, per the customer specification. The inspection plan is agreed against your drawing, so critical characteristics are checked to the level your assembly actually requires.
